COMPANY WAKE MOTION STING

Fiction was approached to create a motion sting for Company Wake to coincide with the initial launch of their website. The general idea was to keep it very clean and simple so that they may use it across a variety of platforms. During the initial brand launch at Surf Expo, Company Wake used an extruded foam core logo for promotion and a centerpiece. In keeping with that visual cue, Fiction modeled a logo and a simple title design to clearly and effectively relay the message.

Ok, now that the rhetorical hoopla is out of the way, the big thing about this is that it was rendered in 1080p and there are about 300 layers, 6 lights, lots of motion blur and shadows. It’s all done in After Effects and there was a trip to the store made to buy 16GB of ram to get this sucker to render because it wouldn’t make it past the first frame. We don’t mess around, clearly. There are a handful more motions that will be made into an extended version, which is more about the “ohhh ahhh” factor more than clearly relaying the message. Keep checking back for more info about this project and others.
